28th June Sermon Discussion - “Standing Tall in Turbulent Times – Good News in Bad Times”

Scripture Reading: Daniel 2

1. Warm-up: Sing the song “This is the day that the Lord has made…”
Go around and share the meaning of this song. Remind them that God is in control of every matter in our lives. We need not fret, worry, panic or sweat. Is there something that you are worry about right now? Let’s submit our problem to Him…

There’s good news in bad times because God’s news is always good news. God’s good news is:

a) God controls the future – Don’t Sweat!
b) God confides in His people – Don’t Speculate!
c) God is the champion – Don’t Surrender!

2. Ask if they confide in someone and vice versa. We confide in this person because we trust this person and believe that this person is willing to listen and may give us advise to our problem. God is someone we can trust and He loves us and wants to give us good advise to guide and protect us. Let’s allow God to speak to us…

3. What is a champion? Can you name someone whom you can call a champion? God has the wisdom and power to overcome all obstacles and problems in our lives. Is God your Champion?

I can do all things in Him who strengthens me (Phil 3:17). Let’s believe that we can overcome all problems and trials because God is our Champion.
